    • GraniteRenowned for their hardy nature and natural, earthy appearance, granite, basalt and bluestone lend a sense of strength and durability to a range of landscaping, pool building and interior design projects. Inside, granite is particularly popular as a kitchen benchtop material. Fireproof, heat resistant and able to withstand active treatment with minimal risk of damage, this stone surface will last through many years of normal use. Granite polishes well and holds well. As one of the only Australian companies capable of flaming and exfoliating granites from our workshop, Slate & Stone can also finish the stone in such a way as to add anti-slip qualities that last for years. Granites come in a wide variety of colours and styles, ranging from flat colours, to patterns that resemble marble, through to pearly variants that glimmer from different angles due to high quartz content. One of the greatest benefits of using granite is its renowned ability to self-clean. While we still recommend sealing in high-traffic locations, or when used around pools, granite requires minimal maintenance, making it a great set-and-forget stone. Wonderfully flexible igneous/volcanic rocks, basalt specimens remain a popular choice in landscaping. Bluestone, in particular, has taken on a life of…
    • LimestoneLimestone Customers are often surprised to discover that limestone can come in a spectrum of colours and shades, ranging from white, all the way through to black, with many variants between. Closely related to both travertine and marble, limestone possesses similar qualities to each. It has been formed from travertine, or similar stones, with added heat, pressure and time working to provide its particular qualities. Effectively a transition stone between travertine and marble, limestone is slightly more porous than marble. Its colours can range from consistent or flat, through to wild, delivering similar swirls and natural patterns to what is seen in some marbles. Limestone’s broad varieties ensure that different types are suitable for different applications. Certain types are better suited for use indoor, while others are more at home in the open environment. Exceptionally hardy and long-lasting, limestone will last for centuries in many circumstances. Most variants are flame resistant, weather resistant and possess great self-cleaning properties. Marble Very hard, dense and heavy, marble is the perfect product to use in luxury indoor contexts. This stone varies in appearance, with its natural swirls, patterns and gradients providing visual appeal and a feel that is genuinely unique. Marble may be…
    • MarbleMarble Very hard, dense and heavy, marble is the perfect product to use in luxury indoor contexts. This stone varies in appearance, with its natural swirls, patterns and gradients providing visual appeal and a feel that is genuinely unique. Marble may be used with a matte finish, or highly polished, to suit your particular aesthetic. Within this stone’s range variants, those that are lighter in colour tend to be softer to work with, and to the touch, while darker marbles are usually harder. This can make some more suitable for use in high-touch situations and others hardier for long-lasting, high traffic areas. Great for use in kitchens, bathrooms, foyers and luxury fittings, marble finishes make a home or business look like a million dollars. Slate & Stone can deliver marble benchtops on application, and houses a wide range of marble building products and tiles, for use on walls and floors. We recommend that softer varieties are used for walls, and harder products used under foot. Sealing is recommended to extend the life and appearance of this gorgeous product.
    • QuartzQuartz The crystalline, pearlescent structure of quartz delivers instant appeal in situations where you are looking for a product to naturally glisten. Its specularity refracts and reflects light from many angles, providing a stunning appearance in bright locations, whether indoors or outside. Quartz is extremely durable and dense. It does self-clean as well as some other high-end stones, but due to its bright surface appearance, we do recommend sealing to further reduce ongoing maintenance requirements. This is particularly the case when the material is used in and around pools, to keep it looking its best for decades. Slate & Stone stocks several different quartz products. The Coconut Ice range is a good working stone, with properties similar to granite, travertine and sandstone in terms of its flexibility of application. This material can be readily shaped, curved, bull-nosed and resurfaced to suit your particular needs. Slate & Stone can deliver custom fabrication of this quartz, straight from its Slack’s Creek factory. Brazilian Quartz is another range that we can readily source, which is available in yellows, off-whites and oranges, for those looking for a warm colour palette. Other quartz ranges, such as Coconut Ice, are great choices for projects that require…

      • Arkistone by Marca CoronaBehind the Arkistone collection is the desire to lend a touch of exclusive elegance to stone, the intense and authentic material par excellence. These porcelain stoneware floors and walls rely on a refined palette, composed of 5 neutral and elegant colours, from the suave Ivory to the bolder appeal of Dark black tiles. To fulfil the most modern and diverse design requirements, Arkistone is available with 2 finishes, the matt and the structured, and 6 sizes, amongst which the new 80×80 and the 120×278 cm slabs. The extra large surfaces, with their distinct aesthetic impact, truly strengthen the expressive potential of this unique stone. The versatility of this series, designed for interiors and exteriors of private residences, commercial spaces and hospitality areas, is completed by a painstaking study on decorations that aim and emphasising the modern and exclusive look of Arkistone and at extending its possibilities of use also to walls. As far as the 30×60 size is concerned, the classic mosaic with 5×5 cm pieces is combined with an incredibly contemporary chevron pattern: the delicate herringbone Italian flooring texture is composed of soft reliefs and alternating geometric patterns that can transform floors and walls into original and sophisticated elements…
      • Brit Stone by CoemThe Brit Stone collection takes its inspiration from Burlington, an English stone particularly well known in its blue-green shades. This is one of the finest stones of sedimentary origin in the world, particularly popular with architects, designers and design engineers for its hardness, beauty and functional appeal. The veins and patterns vary from one colour to another on these stone-look porcelain tiles with a richly varied appearance and a vibrant, natural beauty that maintains a uniform background shade. Extremely faithful to the original material, large sizes bring out the best in this product, and are most widely used for indoor and outdoor flooring.
      • Fluida by CoemA collection that offers a new take on the natural elegance of Cardoso stone, in a brushed version. The process used reveals a hidden beauty and an intrinsic fluidity, softening and toning down the natural, more marked look of the veining patterns, for porcelain stoneware flooring with a soft, uniform appearance that brings out the characteristics of the stone. Available in five colours, FLUIDA is a tribute to this transformation. The stone-effect porcelain stoneware floor tile collection comes in a range of finishes, enabling it to slot seamlessly into any setting. Ideal for interior floors and walls, these practical stone-effect porcelain stoneware tiles are also ideal for use outdoors, combining elegance with resistance. The surfaces are perfect for creating an appealingly natural look, with porcelain stoneware floors and walls able to adapt to both residential and retail environments.
      • Gascogne by CoemThis collection captures the essence of Gascogne Blue stone, with its intense colour and age-old history linked to centuries of distinctive geological formations. Each piece of this stone-effect tile collection is a fragment of history that connects us to the present. The Gascogne porcelain tile collection also comes in a “R11 Soft & Safe” anti-slip outdoor finish, in both a 9mm and a 2cm GresX2 version, for an easy-to-clean, safe, resistant surface that’s also surprisingly soft to the touch.
      • Lagos by CoemThe collection originates from limestone, naturally present in different colours ranging from light grey to a more intense, uniform grey. Lagos stone-effect porcelain tiles come in hues faithful to the original material, natural and earthy, with a wide range of decorations and sizes. The surface is given a subtle dynamism by the visible veins that make for an authentic, refined appearance. Thanks to its minimal and contemporary appearance , these stoneware floor and wall tiles can be combined in a variety of ways, and can also be used together with other materials, such as concrete, wood or satin-finish metals, to shape an elegant, refined ambience.
      • Reverso by CoemReverso stone-effect porcelain tiles recall the reverse of Travertine slabs, partly imperfect, with softer graphics in line with the “raw” trend, in which the charm of the uneven surface is interpreted with elegance and refinement. Reverso porcelain tiles are also available in a 9mm-thick 120×280 cm slab version, as well as a variety of sizes with a thickness of 9mm. They also come in a Gresx2 version: anti-slip outdoor porcelain tiles with a thickness of 2cm.

    • StukeCo PorcelainAffordable, Quality Porcelain Tiles that Resemble Natural Stone. Builders, landscapers, pool builders and homeowners alike have for years been seeking out the beauty of natural stone in a product that is affordable, accessible and easy to lay. While phrases such as ‘gamechanger’ and ‘revolutionary product’ are thrown around frequently these days, there are occasions when a product lives up to the title, and StukeCo delivers exactly that. Harder and more durable than most granites, and with the appearance of natural stone, StukeCo is nevertheless manufactured from porcelain, making it significantly more affordable and more predictable than most natural stones. The StukeCo tile range looks and feels like stone – and not just on its flat surfaces. What truly sets StukeCo apart from other porcelain ranges is its signature printed bull-nose. While it’s easy to spot other porcelain tiles, from their blank or flat-coloured edges, the high-resolution print on a StukeCo tile doesn’t end on its upper surface, but wraps around the edge of the tile, making steps, pool edges and other applications appear truly natural. The average visitor to your entertaining area, community water feature or retail staircase will very likely believe this product to be natural stone, even on…
